A great rich flavor and and incredibly easy rice dish to prepare.
A rice pilaf is usually defined by first being sauteed with garlic and onions in butter or olive oil, second it will usually be cooked in a broth which gives the rice it’s rich flavors that most of us would recognize.
Goes well with chicken, beef and a lot of bbq mains like kebabs.
Serving your rice
The rice will keep warm while you cook everything else – making rice super easy to cook for a side dish. While it simmers for 15 minutes you can be cooking your mains, making a salad or simply enjoying a glass of red while you chill in the kitchen.
When dinner is ready simply spoon some rice onto a plate with your main dish – it will still be warm and ready to go.
