A quick, healthy alternative to a sit down breakfast when you’re on the run or just feel like something a bit different.
Kids mean busy mornings and a lot of those mornings means missing breakfast, whether it’s forgetting to eat (which happens to me more than you would think) to work creeping up on you and having no time to eat.
Often I’ll default to a breakfast banana smoothie on these mornings, which tides me over until a mid-morning break and is super healthy, tasty and often a good change from the usual breakfast routine.
All of the ingredients can be easily stored so you won’t run out when you’re in a rush.
I chuck any bananas that go too brown and soft into a ziplock and freeze them for later use. Milk is usually in the fridge and the rest is all items you can store in the pantry for ages without going bad.
